Even though many fundraising avenues were shut down early in the COVID-19 pandemic, Golf Fights Cancer still wanted to help JAF and its patient recipients because they understood the importance of JAF’s mission during such a critical time.
In 2020 with funds from its annual Golf Marathon, Golf Fights Cancer granted $200,000 to JAF.
“What a gift in such an uncertain time for our nation, our world, and there was our dear friend Golf Fights Cancer coming to our rescue,” JAF President and CEO Jen Andruzzi said.
Since the partnership between the two charities began in 2019, Golf Fights Cancer has donated $300,000 toward JAF’s mission.
What a day yesterday was! Forty-two golfers of all ages safely played over 4,200 holes of golf, raising more than $329,000 along the way – the most ever raised in the 12 year history of the @GolfFightsCancer Golf Marathon! pic.twitter.com/8ieBgr2GVY

“I feel like we should be thanking JAF because we rally our community, but JAF is the one taking these funds and distributing them to the people who need it most.”
– Cheryl McGuire, Executive Director, Golf Fights Cancer
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of meeting up with the @joeandruzzifndn to present them with $200,000 from our #2020GolfMarathon. This impactful cancer-related charity will be using our grant toward much-needed financial relief for cancer patients and their families. pic.twitter.com/t7cJhCLWoQ
