Run the 130th Boston Marathon® presented by Bank of America with Team JAF and become part of a community of dedicated and inspired athletes committed to raising funds to help provide assistance to patients of all ages, any type of cancer, throughout New England who are experiencing financial barriers as a result of a cancer diagnosis.
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is a proud member of the 2026 Bank of America Boston Marathon® Official Charity Program- a program that supports the Boston Athletic Association’s (B.A.A.) mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports.
Team JAF is currently recruiting charity runners and those who received entries through qualification or outside invitations for the 2026 Boston Marathon. All fundraising by Team JAF runners directly supports the Foundation’s mission.
Fundraising requirements:
Charity number – Pledge to raise at least a minimum of $12,000
Qualified and Invitational runner – Pledge to raise at least a minimum of $2,500

All Team JAF Boston Marathon members will receive:
- Ability to run the in-person Boston Marathon race on Monday, April 20, 2026
- Invitation to attend Team JAF Marathon events- Team Kick-off Event (Monday, January 19, 2026), Team JAF Pre- Race Pasta Dinner (Saturday, April 18, 2026)
- Personalized fundraising page
- Fundraising support and guidance
- Weekly correspondence from the Foundation – including inspirational communication about our mission and the patients/families we serve
- Access to a private Team JAF Facebook page – for corresponding with other team members and JAF Staff
- Team JAF Race Day singlet
- Additional Team JAF Swag
- Training and support through Charityteams.org
- Full and personalized 20-week training plan for every level of running by RRCA certified coaches with organized group runs throughout the season starting in December through Charityteams.org.
- Weekly correspondence with nutrition advice, injury prevention, and training tips and tricks
- Access to a community of Boston Marathon veteran runners
- Assistance with Marathon weekend logistics
Please note:
Those requesting a charity bib through JAF will be required to pay a $385 race entry fee to the Boston Athletic Association in January
