Nadine A. Jackson, MD, MPH, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998, her Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2002, and her Doctor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 2003. After completing her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Care, she joined the Center forGastrointestinal Oncology faculty at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2009 where she is currently Senior Physician and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Jackson has dedicated her research to the development and application of validated tools to facilitate shared decision making and to improve cancer care delivery for adults diagnosed with cancer. As founding Medical Director of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Patient Reported Data Program, her current efforts entail large scale implementation of electronic patient reported outcomes collection at academic and regional sites.  The program supports over 40 unique studies ranging from registries to interventions utilizing patient reported data. She is Principal Investigator of several research studies, including SURGE – which is focused on increasing rates of cancer genomic testing as a precursor to clinical trial enrollment; RESOURCE, focused on social determinants of health intervention; and REACH, focused on resilience and equity across an aging population. As a side note, Dr. Jackson is also an expert in acronym development. She leads the Older Adult program in Gastrointestinal Malignancies. Her critical work is funded by federal, foundation, NCI, industry, organizational, and philanthropic support.
