2025 Hop Over Recap

2025 was another outstanding year for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) Hop Over Events. These gatherings brought communities together across the region to enjoy local craft beer, delicious food, and live music—all while raising critical funds to support JAF’s mission.

Each event was made possible thanks to the incredible partnerships with our host breweries, generous vendors, and our dedicated committee members. We are also grateful to our partners at Well Told Design, who provided commemorative etched glasses for the first 30 attendees at every event.

Haven Beer Company Hop Over – Hamden, CT

February 2025 | Nearly $8,000 Raised

JAF kicked off our event series at Haven Beer Company in Hamden, CT. A huge thank-you goes out to the team at Haven Beer Company and to our incredible event sponsors—the Oak Family and the Ruane Family—for making this event possible.

Co-founders, Jen and Joe Andruzzi, we were thrilled to welcome long-time JAF supporters, players, and family members from both the men’s and women’s Quinnipiac Lacrosse teams, along with friends from Walter Camp, Southern Connecticut State University (Joe’s alma mater), as well as past and present Team JAF participants. Thanks to this amazing community, JAF raised nearly $8,000!

Hometown Hop Over at Angle Tree Brewery – North Attleboro, MA

May 2025 | Over $8,500 Raised

In May, JAF celebrated our 17th Anniversary alongside the birthday of our incredible co-founder, Jen Andruzzi, during the 2nd Annual Hometown Hop Over presented by North Easton Savings Bank at Angle Tree Brewery in North Attleboro, MA. The talented Tristen and Jackson of Luv Mason set the tone for the evening with outstanding live music.

Guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of food from some of North Attleboro’s favorite local spots, including Bill’s Pizza, Los Antojitos, Jay’s Indian Kitchen, and Mad Moose Tavern.

The room was filled with beautifully curated chance baskets and auction items, assembled by the JAF staff who served as this year’s Hop Over Committee. Attendees were especially moved by our inspiring patient speaker, Kristen G, who bravely shared her personal cancer journey.

The evening concluded with a singing of  “Happy Birthday” to both JAF and Jen, complete with a beautiful cake from Wisk and Paddle of North Attleboro and cupcakes from Hometown Bakery of Mansfield. Thanks to our generous community, we raised over $8,500.

Hopothecary Kitchen and Ales Hop Over – North Reading, MA

November 2025 | Over $18,000 Raised

In November, we celebrated five years of gathering with our North Shore crew and our second year hosting the Hop Over – Presented by Columbia Construction—at Hopothecary Kitchen and Ales in North Reading, MA.

A big thank you to our additional sponsor, DECCO, Inc., who joined us for the second year in a row. Steve, Morty, and the entire Hopothecary team once again welcomed JAF and our supporters with open arms—providing not only delicious food and beer, but also creating a special brew, “The Guard’s Gallipot.” For every pint and four-pack sold throughout November, $1 was donated back to JAF.

Two Cousins Karaoke & DJ Services kept the energy high with great music, while guests mingled, enjoyed the chance baskets and auction items, and browsed displays assembled by our amazing committee.

The group was especially grateful to hear from JAF patient ambassador Nicole V., who attended with her husband and son to share her cancer journey.

Thanks to everyone involved, this incredible community raised over $18,000!

Rule of 3 Brewing Hop Over – East Hampton, CT

November 2025 | $16,000 Raised

We closed out our 2025 Hop Over Event series with our dedicated and enthusiastic community in Central Connecticut. Year after year, this group raises the bar for fundraising, and this year was no exception.

This event was hosted at Rule of 3 Brewing in East Hampton, CT. The family team behind the brewery—John, Wendy, Tyler, and Steve—graciously welcomed JAF into their space and even crafted a special brew for the occasion: Huddle Up. For every four-pack sold during the event, Rule of 3 donated $1 back to JAF, adding a fun way for attendees to support the mission.

We’re deeply grateful to our event sponsors—Middlesex Health Cancer Center, 24Restore, and United PRS- for their support.

The atmosphere was brought to life by musician Jeff Przech, whose music set the perfect tone for the entire evening. Guests enjoyed browsing and bidding on a variety of exciting silent auction and chance items thanks to our committee members.

One of the most meaningful moments came from Chris G., a patient speaker, and his wife Amy. As members of the JAF Patient Ambassador team, they courageously shared their story with the room—grounding the night in the real impact of the support our Foundation provides. Thanks to this incredible group, JAF raised $16,000!

From start to finish, every Hop Over event was filled with connection, generosity, and hope. We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible breweries, dedicated committees, generous vendors, and enthusiastic community members who participated in each of these events.  We can confidently say every group delivered once again!

Together, this community raised over $50,000 to support the Joe Andruzzi Foundation’s mission!
