401Gives: When It Matters Most, Rhode Island Shows Up
401Gives is Rhode Island’s biggest day of giving—bringing the community together to support local nonprofits and the neighbors who rely on them. Powered by the Alliance for Nonprofit Impact, in partnership with United Way of Rhode Island, this statewide effort amplifies generosity and the impact of every gift.
JAF’s Impact in Rhode Island
At the Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF), we see every day that cancer doesn’t wait.
That’s why we provide critical financial assistance to Rhode Island cancer patients and their families—helping cover essential expenses like rent, utilities, food, and transportation so they can focus on treatment, not financial stress.
Because of supporters like you, hundreds of local families receive the help they need—when it matters most.
Since 2008, JAF has delivered more than $13.8 million in direct assistance to New England cancer patients, including over $84,000 awarded to Rhode Island residents in 2025 alone.

This 401Gives, we’re aiming to raise $5,000 to support even more Rhode Island families facing cancer.
