Fundraising for Falmouth: Team JAF’s 63 Runners Strive to Raise $100,000!

New Balance Falmouth Road Race Joe Andruzzi Foundation

Our shoes are laced, our legs are limber and we are all well hydrated. Team Joe Andruzzi Foundation (Team JAF) is ready for the 41st New Balance Falmouth Road Race! While Falmouth will be my first foray into a long distance road race, I couldn’t be more excited – both as I push myself to reach my individual goals, and also as a runner on Team JAF, helping our team to reach the Foundation fundraising goal of $100,000. Needless to say, we’ve set the bar high.

Each year, as JAF grows, we make every effort to continue fulfilling our mission in a greater capacity – to provide as much support to as many patients and their families as we can. This year’s Falmouth team of 63 runners (52 more runners than last year!) have each made a commitment of their own to help us honor that mission.

Every Team JAF runner has committed to raising a minimum of $1,250 by August 11. To reach this goal, they’ve been reaching out to friends, family members, businesses, community groups, and countless others – and they’ve been doing a fantastic job! A number of our runners have already surpassed the minimum fundraising amount, inspiring us with their dedication to our cause. Our good friends at East Commerce Solutions, Inc., have also made a sponsorship commitment of $25,000. As always, we are incredibly grateful for their continued support of the Foundation.

While our fundraisers are certainly on a roll – to date, more than $44,000 has been raised and 728 people have donated – we can still use your help! Any way you slice it, $1,250 is a considerable chunk of change and many of our runners have just begun their fundraising journey. To view the individual profiles of our runners, learn about their connection to the Foundation, and most importantly, donate, please visit our fundraising website.

Each dollar that we raise provides much-needed assistance to patients and families throughout the region, helping them to pay necessary bills – such as mortgage payments, car loans, utility bills and more – granting those affected the ability to focus on the fight against cancer.

With the help of our runners and the many who donate, we will reach our overall fundraising goal of $100,000 by the time sneakers hit the pavement on August 11. We know Team JAF runners will continue to do all that they can to prepare for Falmouth – both in their rigorous training and in seeking fundraising support. Please consider supporting our team by making a pledge in the fight against cancer’s impact.

Thank you,

Jen Andruzzi
