If there’s anything that our experience at the Foundation has taught us, it’s gratitude! We have the amazing opportunity to help cancer patients during the most difficult time of their lives by helping out with rent or mortgage, utilities and other household expenses. Now we are taking a moment to thank everyone who has helped us help others.
Our inaugural Gratitude Gala, formerly known as the New England Celebrities Tackle Cancer Gala, will take place November 24 at Gillette Stadium. Last year’s event raised a record-breaking $700,000 and we are eager to break that record this year, especially with the Honorable Mayor of Boston Martin J. Walsh as our keynote speaker.
Mayor Walsh overcame childhood cancer and will speak firsthand to the challenges cancer patients and their families face, challenges and burdens that our Foundation helps them bear. New England Patriots and alumni, as well as other former professional athletes and celebrities, will join for a meet-and-greet cocktail hour, live and silent auctions, a three-course dinner, and a speaking program, all within view of the Patriots home field! Former Patriots quarterback, Scott Zolak, will serve as the evening’s emcee.
