This past Monday, Boston exceeded 70 degrees for the first time since October 29, 2014 – that’s 188 days, for those of you keeping score at home. Needless to say, after 110+ inches of snow this past winter, we’re welcoming spring with open arms.
Before you know it, summer will be here – and that can only mean one thing: the annual Joe Andruzzi & Friends Golf Tournament is right around the corner!
The seventh annual event, presented by East Commerce Solutions, Inc., will take place on Monday, June 29, to be held again at the beautiful Pinehills Golf Club (named one of the “Top 10 You Can Play” by Golf Magazine!) in Plymouth, Mass.
Remaining sponsorship levels include: single or foursome golf sponsors, driving range, putting green and tee/hole sponsors, as well as the ability to sponsor a patient recipient to play in the tournament. To purchase your sponsorship today, click here!
Since its inception, the event has raised over $1 million, which has allowed us to assist over 1,400 patients. The 2014 golf event alone raised more than $250,000, and with your help, proceeds from this year’s tournament will again go towards JAF’s mission of providing help, hope and a reason to smile for cancer patients and their families by contributing financial and emotional support when it is needed most.
Once again, golfers will tee off at 10 a.m. and play a fun and (Up)Beat “scramble” format – where foursomes tee off, then choose the best of the groups shots for the next shot. All golfers then play the second shot from that location, and again choose the best shot. This process is continued until the ball is holed.
For those looking for a little extra competition – we will be hosting a silent and live auction, offering bidders the chance to win priceless sports memorabilia, entertainment packages and more!
