Summer is almost here, and that can only mean one thing: the annual Joe Andruzzi & Friends Golf Tournament is right around the corner! A few golf foursomes are still available, so sign up quickly to reserve your spot!
We are excited to announce that current New England Patriots co-captains Rob Ninkovich and Matthew Slater will be joining Jen and I as special guest co-hosts for this year’s tournament – now in its sixth year! They will join other New England athletes and celebrities who will hit the links to raise money for cancer patients and their families at our annual summer event, to be held again at the beautiful Pinehills Golf Club (named one of the “Top 10 You Can Play” by Golf Magazine!) in Plymouth, Mass. on June 30.
We’re hoping to beat last year’s amazing fundraising tally of $278,000 so that we can continue to alleviate some of the financial and emotional impact of cancer and fund pediatric cancer research at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Golfers will tee off at 10 a.m. and play a fun and (Up)Beat “scramble” format – where foursomes tee off, then choose the best of the groups shots for the next shot. All golfers then play the second shot from that location, and again choose the best shot. This process is continued until the ball is holed.
For those looking for a little extra competition, we have you covered. We will be hosting a silent and live auction, offering bidders the chance to win priceless sports memorabilia, entertainment packages and more!
