This past weekend Jen and I attended a fantastic pancake breakfast with our friends and supporters at Patriot Subaru of North Attleboro, which recently selected JAF as its hometown charity of choice for Subaru’s seventh annual “Share the Love” holiday event!
From now through January 2, 2015, Patriot Subaru (as part of a national effort of Subaru of America) will donate $250 to charity every time a new car is purchased or leased. The choice of where that $250 goes is up to the customer, who can select from four national organizations and one local charity… that’s us! It’s as easy as saying J-A-F!
Throughout this year’s campaign, Subaru will donated up to $15 million nation-wide, bringing the seven-year total to $50 million!
At the breakfast, I had the chance to meet and take pictures with attendees, talk with a first-time car buyer and share stories with a cancer survivor. We also raffled off an autographed football, and were thrilled to see people embracing the spirit of giving with additional donations to JAF. And when you tune in to your local radio station for a holiday music fix, be sure to listen for PSAs with more information for ways you can “Share the Love”! Of course, online donations are always accepted here, as the need for help is never ending.
Our Foundation is always committed to providing help, hope and a reason to smile for cancer patients and their families by assisting with everyday expenses during cancer treatment – something that is especially important around the holiday – and we’re incredibly grateful that Patriot Subaru supports that mission.
