Believe it or not, summer is almost here. And with the summer comes one of the Foundation’s favorite events – the Joe Andruzzi and Friends Golf Tournament – now in it’s fifth year! A handful of golf foursomes remain, so sign up quickly to reserve your spot!
We are thrilled to announce that current New England Patriots players Zoltan Mesko and Rob Ninkovich will be joining Joe as co-hosts of this year’s tournament. They will join New England athletes, area celebrities and golf enthusiasts in teeing off Monday, June 17 at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth, MA.
Named one of the “Top 10 You Can Play” by Golf Magazine, Pinehills boasts two separate, 18-hole championship courses. While the course has a championship pedigree, there will be plenty of entertainment for those whose golf skills may not be up to par!
Golfers will tee off at 10 a.m. and play into late afternoon, enjoying what we expect to be a beautiful day on the course. As the day winds down, golfers will return to the clubhouse to mingle, relax and partake in a cocktail reception. Guests will then enjoy a delicious dinner, remarks from our soon-to-be-announced guest speaker and the presentation of tournament awards.
For golfers seeking a memento greater than just their scorecard, look no further. We will be hosting both a silent and live auction, offering bidders the chance to win priceless sports memorabilia, amazing entertainment packages and more.
Of course, these fundraising efforts will support a very important cause. The funds raised from this year’s tournament will ensure that the Foundation’s mission – to provide help, hope and a reason to smile for cancer patients and their families by contributing financial and emotional support when it is needed most – is fulfilled throughout the year.
