Bob’s Discount Furniture believes that everyone deserves a home they love. This belief aligns with the Joe Andruzzi Foundation’s Assistance Programs, which help keep patients in their homes during the difficult times of a cancer diagnosis and treatment,
Ted English, the Executive Chairman of Bob’s Discount Furniture, has successfully led the company in expanding to over 206 stores. His passion for growing for-profit organizations is mirrored in his philanthropic efforts, as he and his family have supported hundreds of nonprofits over the decades.

Since 2009, Bob’s Discount Furniture, led by Ted English, has supported JAF in a variety of ways, from the Annual Fund, the Joe Andruzzi and Friends Golf Tournament, the Annual Gala, and as Giving Tuesday’s Matching Gift Sponsor. Their support has been both generous and impactful.
JAF’s history with Bob’s Discount Furniture and Ted English, Chairman of the Board of Directors, has been meaningful to the patients we have served with their support.
As the lead sponsor of JAF’s Annual Giving Tuesday campaign (held at the end of the year,) Bob’s has established itself as the lead supporter and match donor of JAF’s Giving Tuesday fundraising efforts consecutively since 2020.
In keeping with its own mission, Bob’s has also generously supported JAF’s ‘Comfort and Joy’ campaign by providing ten new mattresses each year to patients throughout New England. These donations truly help patients to have comfort and joy not just in their homes, but in their hearts.
JAF was proud to honor Ted English, Executive Chairman of Bob’s Discount Furniture, as a JAF Game Changer at the Foundation’s 2020 Sofa Soiree Gala.
