Get to Know Dan
What drove you to become a supporter of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation?
Cancer has touched my life very directly as I lost my mom and mother-in-law to cancer and my wife is a breast cancer survivor and I have dealt with melanoma. We were fortunate to have the means to support our moms and deal with Debbie’s illness and wanted to give back to folks struggling with that situation. I also think this is a very overlooked issue related to cancer and wanted to help bring attention to it.
What is your favorite thing about being a JAF Board Member?
I met my wife at a Cubs game on the day Ozzy Osbourne sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame while on a business trip from Boston.
List a “fun fact” about yourself that others may be surprised to learn.
I will celebrate 20 years of marriage with Debbie next September and we have a 17 year-old daughter who will graduate high school this coming May and go on to play college softball at Colgate. The three of us love to travel together, spend lots of time on softball fields all over the country, and hang out with our little dog Bandit. My girls are my constant inspiration and my hobbies all center around doing things with the them!
