Empower Retirement
As Empower Retirement expanded its business portfolio into the Northeast, it looked for a community partner that shared its core value of keeping families financially secure. The partnership between Empower and JAF began in the Fall of 2016 with the JAF’Goal Line Giving‘ campaign and evolved to sponsorship of JAF’s Bridge Builder monthly giving program in 2019. When the pandemic took hold in 2020 and JAF started its COVID-19 Relief Fund, Empower’s early commitment of support to the Bridge Builder Program was critical in allowing JAF to maintain operations to support the growing needs of patients and families.
Last week @Andruzzi63 & I had the opportunity to speak with Empower Retirement employees in Boston about the positive impact the partnership between @joeandruzzifndn & Empower created throughout ‘19 – particularly through their sponsorship of our Fall #JAFBridgeBuilder campaign. pic.twitter.com/YfhK82xOhw

Empower’s sponsorship in 2020 alone allowed more than 125 patients and their families to receive financial support, and the company has contributed more than 220,000 to JAF’s mission since 2016.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s COVID or a different medical issue … During COVID, life goes on. COVID doesn’t make your medical challenges go away or anything else go away … I have to believe that there are people out there, that if it were not for what JAF does, they wouldn’t have the benefit of focusing on their family."
